Movie Mondays!


While some fans believed the series to have jumped the shark, LOST season three holds up incredibly well when viewed in rapid succession. The focus for the season shifts as we learn more about the mysterious Others. While it starts off slowly with the first six episodes focused primarily around the triangle of Jack, Sawyer and Kate as they deal with being held hostage. It picks up steam rapidly building to a very surprising and exciting climax. The character of Juliet is introduced and we start to learn more about Ben. We even finally get a chance to witness just exactly what happened to the Dharma Initiative on the island. Even the leader of the Others is finally revealed. Several favorite characters are killed off throughout the course of the season, as a matter of fact the death toll for the season is fairly high both among the Losties and the Others. As with any season of LOST you wind up getting to the end with more questions waiting to be answered but, that’s just part of the fun. If you’re a fan of the show, you’ll probably already have put these into your queue and if you haven’t as yet caught the LOST island fever you’ll want to check out Seasons 1 and 2 before reserving Season 3. All in all, the series continues to intrigue and deliver on its early promise. It still ranks up there as one of the better shows on broadcast TV today. Also, be sure to look around the Bonus DVD for a few nice Easter Eggs. There are two in every screen and they’re worth the effort to find for any big LOST fan.
